When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods. http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/https://www.crimereports.com/

Legally, realtors cannot discuss crime stats. If you are interested in a particular unit or a particular area, visit the local police precinct and they will provide you with the stats for that area. You can also visits sites like spotcrime.com which will send you weekly or monthly reports.

Crime data is readily available if you Google the area and crime reports. Realtors will not discuss crime data due to housing laws. If you need help...@AskReynet.
