Dear Family First,
Your name speaks volume and I take your concerns very seriously.
I can comfortably say that both areas are great communities to live in and both have top rated schools so for you, it would just be a matter of lifestyle, budget, and your personal preference. You can google schools and crime report and find some great posts on the things that are of interest or concern to you. I work in both areas and can show you any of the homes for sale, and help you make an informed decision. Call or email me for expert help and dedicated assistance. 407-864-3139; sylvia@sylviapaulrocks.com

I have homes in Lake Nona and Avalon Park I could rent you. Both areas have A rated schools. It's a matter of your location preference - Avalon Park is closer to UCF, Lake Nona is close to Medical City. Both are near major hwys. Text me if I can help. 650-648-3310. Conan

Avalon Park is much better, great schools and lots of things to do. Lake Nona HS and MS is horrible and it also has I believe only 1 highway access while Avalon Park has many. I love it and I wouldn't change this place for nothing else! Good luck!

Have you considered the Oviedo/Winter Springs area? Schools here are top notch and the traffic is much better. Plus with easy access to highway 417, you can get anywhere rather quickly! Family Circle Magazine named Oviedo one of the Top 10 Towns for Families for 2011. If you have any questions, please call me. I am an expert in the area and I have never had a buyer regret buying here!

Hands down, Lake Nona. Just try getting in and out of Avalon Park during rush hour.

Much better than it once was as there is a new connector to the "Beach Line" X way aka the 528 and Alafaya Trail is being widened "as we speak". The people who live there like it very much. Lake Nona also is very nice as are other areas near Avalon Park such as Eastwood and Stoneybrook East.
