Realtors aren't aloud to comment on crime and safety of a specific area, but at the bottom of this email I will provide you with a link that will help you gather that information. If you aren't working with a realtor I highly recommend that you do, because in the end you will most likely work with one but it will be the sellers realtor when you could have interviewed and chosen your own. As a buyer the seller pays your realtors commission if you have any questions about how that or any other part of the process works I would be happy to walk you through it. Feel free to call or email me any time.

Great Instincts on your part! I agree with all the answers provided below! You will want to drive selected neighborhoods at night, on the weekends, and at odd times. Are there neighbors out on their yards on Saturdays? Are they visiting together? Are the yards clean and well maintained? Have you gotten out of your car and approached a potential neighbor and asked them how they liked living there? How were you treated? Government stats can be very telling and I'd add to that the "get to know your neighborhood" visit to any potential area.

Yes, all of the answers below are correct.
Once you check the website, you should then drive any areas that you are interested in. Visit these neighborhoods during mid day and late afternoon early evening. The 'character" of the community will be revealed.
Welcome to Nashville! It's a wonderful city!

Anotich encompasses a very large area of Nashville. I grew up in Antioch, and have seen it change a lot since I was a child. As a liscensed Real Estate Agent, it's not legal for us to tell consumer's whether an area is "safe", but instead we direct our clients to the interactive crime map and statistics that can be found on the http://www.Nashville.gov website. Another option is to call the local police precinct and ask to speak to the patroling officer about what the activity has been like in that area.

Good luck with your relocation, and let me know if I can be of further assistance in the future.

Sincerely,

Ronnie is correct. It goes against our rules and ethics to answer subjective questions relating to crime, race, religion, etc. As a secondary resource, the link below provides crime information and much, much more in regard to community, home sales, shopping, medical facilities, education, schools and you can even compare two areas by zip code.
