Take a look at Trulia's Crime Maps to see what kinds of crimes are happening in surrounding neighborhoods:

Hope that helps you!

Dear leesagirl,

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police website has a page where you can search crime statistics. We've included the link below.

For me or any other Real Estate Agent to say what's good or bad is wrong. Everyone has their own definition of bad. It's up to the buyer to do a little homework and check with the local law enforcement agency on crime.
It's very easy for an agent to "steer" a client into a more expensive home by giving inaccurate information.
It's best to "get it from the horses mouth". The P.D.

I'll answer your question. I know this area very well and it has a higher crime rate then let's say more expensive areas like Green Valley/Henderson but it is not a "Bad" area. I lived down the street from there in a townhouse/condo for a few years, my daughter teaches school in this area and it has a majority of hard working middle class people and yes there are some bad apples in the area but so does most areas in this price range. Let me know what you're looking for and I can help find you a nice place. I would live in this area depending on what development. Matt

Please use the above reference for answering any questions on crime in a specific location. My interpretation could be much different from yours, so it is my advise to search and see what you are comfortable with. Thank you for posting! Raina Musser

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
