"Safe" is like "beauty" - in the eye of the beholder - so there's no way anyone else, much less a Realtor, can answer that question for you.
The other reason is there are, as there should be, laws making it a crime for real estate agents to "steer" a client away from a particular neighborhood. Those laws came out of the civil rights era, along with laws preventing lenders from "redlining:\" a neighborhood in which they would not make loans, regardless of the financial situation of the borrower.
