Is crime an issue in Fairfax?
How safe is it or does it feel to walk around? And, is this the case across the city, or are there differences in different areas?

Fairfax is the Berkeley of Marin. Crime are you kidding me, very little unless you consider a little pot smoking and hippie dancing a crime.

The town of Fairfax is a very safe place to live. Children can play on the street, walking downtown for dinner at night, and running in the early morning are all safe. No need to feel like you are being stalked.
Crime is not a significant issue in Fairfax, other than occassional trouble from someone who has had a bit too much to drink in one of the bars.
