I have lived in Springfield my entire life, and as far as I'm concerned, I would not feel comfortable living or raising a family in that area. Sixteen Acres, East Forest Park and East Springfield are probably the most desirable choices, but they probably are higher priced. Upper Liberty Heights/Hungry Hill and Pine point are a bit less desirable, but definitely more affordable and worth looking into, as is parts of Forest Park and Indian Orchard (take a ride by at night.)

you can access crime statistic online and even on Trulia if you are worried. From a professional point of view the South End is a fantastic place to live and a great place to invest.

Here is every property on the market in the South End:

You may want to consider Forest Park, Sixteen Acres or East Springfield as far as superior property values and growing property values for the next five years. Call me at 413-335-5622. Best of luck !!

Our recommendation is to be in touch with the local police department or the county sheriff's department. They have access to the most current and accurate information and are normally willing to be helpful.

Good luck
