There are two parts to antioch the old and the new...definately research the area...and look out for mello roos 2...

I wouldn't say it is a high crime area but perhaps above average in certain neighborhoods. For crime stats, check the link below.

Typically speaking, Realtors are prohibited from giving you an opinion on whether a neighborhood is high crime, or not. Your best bet is to contact the local police station for statistics about the area in question.
