I have been fortunate to work in the Pine Hills community for years and still do. I have many clients that bought and sold homes in this community. When I ask sellers what they like about their community, they told me it is central to everywhere with easy access to most everything and they like their neighbors. Many have lived in the community over 30 years. Many people want to buy in this area because this area is affordable and there are good and decent and hard working people that live and love this area like any other area. Crime is everywhere and it is the prudent thing to investigate when making a large investment such as purchasing a home.
What I like about Pine Hills is the fact that it is a diverse community with people from everywhere that I can always learn something from. Do move forward with your plan to buy in Pine Hills. Do your home work. Check where you want to buy. Go there in the morning, go at lunch time and in the evening and see how you like the area and do that for any area that you or someone you know is interested in purchasing in.
Call the police department or go to the law enforcement web site to check out the crime stats or check out info at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine_Hills,_Florida

Good luck to you with your purchase.
I hope this helps.

as with any other large area there is good an not so good in Pine hills. Link up with an agent that know the area. Visit the area that you would like to buy in on different times of the day and on different days. Talk to folks that live there. Get in touch if you need more help

There is a website that you can go to that has some answers you might appreciate by zip codes. There is also input from people who live in the areas. The one I use is: http://www.city-data.com

Another good source of information is Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine_Hills,_Florida

I hope this helps.

Well, not all of Pine Hills is a "bad area." However, some areas have issues and crime. Pine Hills is a large area. Its is not as bad as some NY areas or Miami areas. Your not gonna see people selling drugs or strippers walking up and down. You may see some rambunctious behavior often. Their are definitely worst places in Orlando to live.
