Along with the already mentioned website you may also visit my website http://www.marclenorgant.com and click on community resources, then click on City of Lancaster and then Public Safety. Here you will find lots of information on our local public safety as well as crime maps and information.

Honestly contacting the local police department is your best bet.

All of the websites listed will give you a good idea of what the trends are in the area, but calling the local Police Department is the best way to get an idea of what the area is like.

You can contact the La county sheriff department. The handle police work for Lancaster.

They will have the facts you need.

Page 2 of the Antelope Valley Press gives a daily map showing where recent crimes have been committed.

http://www.CrimeReports.com is the best source I have found as well. Being an Antelope Valley native, I would be more than happy to share my insight of the area with you. Let me know if you have any questions about any specific areas. You can call me at 661-733-2196 or email me at Mike@AVWatson.com

Chalk-up another vote for crimereports.com -- once you enter an address / location be sure go to the "Incident Layers" tab to select what type of information is important to you.

Tina has it correct. I would also check out the Megan's Law web-site as well.

You can check out http://www.crimereports.com for updated crime reports from the local police departments, a fairly unbiased source. Just punch in the neighborhoods of interest into the maps.
