Milledgeville is a nice little town located in central Georgia. We have Georgia College and State university (a 4-year college) and Georgia Military College(a 2-year college). The Ga war Veterans home and Central State hospital are large employers as well. Located 30 miles east of Macon , 100 miles south of Atlanta and 150 miles west of Savannah you are only a short drive away from mountains or beaches. While this area has lots of history, it is mainly known for Lake Sinclair. There are many waterfront properties for sale at all times and right now prices are better than ever. I would recommend a local real estate agent when looking at properties here because we have a local MLS that supplies lockboxes that are not compatible with out of town e-keys. The chamber of commerce can supply you with a good list of agents or you can go to http://www.unionrecorder.com and look for the Showcase of Land and homes.
