I recently sold a house in the Wyntercreek subdivision to some clients of mine and they absolutly love it! It's right off of Roberts Road and they walk to Dunwoody Village for bagels every Saturday and they also walk to the park just down the street. The neighborhood itself is very family oriented, they had a Halloween parade for all of the kids. I'm not sure if you even have kids but it is also in a good elementary school district which is also walking distance. Other than that, there are plenty of homes for sale in Dunwoody, ranging from $3M to $300k in the good school districts, which I always recommend to my clients to try to buy in the good school districts even if they don't have kids because those houses seem to sell more quickly and for top dollar...you gotta think about the re-sale value down the road! Dunwoody is a wonderful established area. A few years ago tornados took down many of the old trees, but the residents all worked together to replant and clean up the downed trees. This gave some of the neighborhoods a younger look. The location gives easy access to the major arteries of Atlanta and is convenient to downtown. Try the website: www.familywatchdog.com. There are many neighborhoods in Dunwoody, and it also includes zip code 30338! I always suggest that my buyers call the local precincts and talk to the experts. The police are generally very willing to share information with you, and that includes more than crime statistics.
Security is always a priority for single female buyers and there are many issues you need to consider when trying to find the perfect home!
