I am considering buying a home at Indian School and 32nd. Do you feel this is a safe neighborhood?

Ask the neighbors! See how long they have lived there and find out how many times they have had issues. i.e. burglaries, vandalism, graffiti, violent crimes, etc. You'll find out pretty quick.

As Camille commented, it's a great idea to visit the neighborhood at different times of the day and see how you feel about your safety.

Here are two websites to help you decide if you think it is safe enough to live in. 1.… 2. If you want to speak to someone I recommend calling the local police department at 602-262-6011.

As a licensed Real Estate broker, I am not able to comment if a particular area is safe. If you would like to check crime reports, you can do so online at

Have you decided on a home to purchase yet?

Frank did you find a home yet? I can help you move in for as low as .5% down in Phoenix if you qualify for the Home in Five Program. Me and Realtor Manuel Arellano placed 4 families in the past 30 days with as only $1500 out of pocket. Each Area is different but I have lived close to where you are looing and there are some good areas and some rough patches. I always recommend driving through at night, If it doesn't look or feel safe to you then keep on looking. feel free to contact me on my cell if you want to get prequalified for the home in Five program.

To check up crime stats use this website and to look up sex offenders in the area use this website I would also drive around and talk to the neighbors to get a feel of the neighborhood.

Aside from looking at a map, go to the area at different times of the day and night and walk around. What and who do you see? Do you feel safe? Would you feel safe having your family there with you or having friends to come and visit?

If you hesitate to say "Yes- I feel safe", regardless of what anyone else things, it may not be the right neighborhood for you. You really want to trust your gut instinct on this. Good luck!
