As Realtors, our expertise is in the subject of Real Estate and not areas that we are not working in. For Crime Statistics you should contact the local Police Department. For school information, it would be the local School Districts and so on.
Culver City has excellent city services and a very responsive Police Department.

Do demographics not fall into the realm of relevant information for a Real Estate agent? What are you a car salesman?

You are in more danger each time you drive your car. Yet you continue to do so.
I am sure there are areas safer than others, work with someone to find the right place for you.
Are you buying or renting?

I hate to tell you this, but you will die! Not necessarily in Culver City, but somewhere. We all will.

Safety is very personal so I suggest doing some research and forming your own opinion. The most accurate source of crime data is going to be the Culver City Police Department. You might also inquire with the neighborhood homeowner group and/or individual neighbors.

Mc.evilmuffin the best advice is to check out the crime statistics in the culver city police department. If you are comfortable with the answers then you know the answer. Where are you going to school? maybe living on campus might be a better solution. Just thinking out loud...

Hi Mc Evilmuffin,

Culver City, CA is considered a residential family neighborhood. Single family home density. There are pockets with condominium communities. Fox Hills and condominiums at Overland and Jefferson. Drive and walk areas of interest. Visit local markets, shopping centers and or restaurants. Observe clientele and judge your comfort level. Additionally, I would check with the cities Police Dept for crime statistics.

This person is afraid and advisably so. A little paranoia is a good thing in a town like this (Los Angeles). Perhaps u should come and experience it.

You could die anywhere, but Culver City has a lower average crime rate than does Los Angeles, but just like in Los Angeles Culver City has areas that are very safe and some a little less so. It depends on what area of Culver City you are in, but Culver City on average is pretty safe, and the Culver City police dept has a very good reputation, and a very good response time when called. It is certainly much safer than Venice or Santa Monica, nearby cities, or areas. If you are going to be near downtown Culver City, it is very nice and very safe.
