On crimereports.com, it looks pretty bad but I wonder what people who live there think about their safety?
Closer to the downtown area is where you'll notice that most of the crime comes from. The areas closer to Indian Hill Rd, and Mariemont is considered "Madison Place." This area is quiet and very walkable etc. I have lived there for 3 years. I have left things outside and keep my garage unlocked most days, and haven't had anything come up missing.
Linda,
The best resource for this information is the local police department or the county sheriff's department. they have access to the most current and accurate information and are generally very willing to be helpful.
Here is a link to the neighborhood Liaison Officers for Cincinnati. Madosonville is in District 2. They can tell you in greater detail what is going on where better than anyone else.

By the way I had a client that was worried about an area because of the statistics. The PIO let him know that if you took an apartment complex in the area out of the picture it would eliminate 90% of the runs.
That kind of information you have to access to all the statistics and the Information office will have it
