When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Dear Marie:

How many shootings would you consider to be a lot? I am not sure what area you are referring to but you should check with the local police precinct and also do some research on http://www.Google.com into crime statistics within the zip code. If I can be of further assistance, feel free to contact me. Good luck!

Hello Marie, the more specific the area, the more specific the response can be. Please be more specific as Brooklyn is a big place.

Realtors cannot comment on neighborhoods or schools, but we can be the source of the source. In this case, I suggest you contact the local police precinct to get a handle on any crime in the area.
