When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Having all this info available on the web has made me think twice about moving. My home (suburbs of KC) has seriously depreciated, but, virtually no crime where I live. In KC where my daughter wants to live there is tons of crime. This is another place to look: http://www.clrsearch.com/Kansas_City_Demographics/MO/64131/C…

Look, no one on Trulia is going to have that kind of an answer for you, and quite frankly, even if they did, they wouldn't answer that online because that makes them liable for a multitude of things that could result in their license being pulled.

If you want crime stat info, contact the local police dept. It is THEIR job,not the Realtor's job, to maintain that data and it's accuracy.
