thank you tony! i think it's around 580 right now. i haven't been late on any payments in over 2 years, so i get frustrated wondering why it hasn't gone up. and have paid off everything that was 'bad' on there 2.5 years ago. i just don't understand how someone with bankruptcy can get more offers on loans/creditcards then me! frustrating!! thanks again!

It's possible. Depends on how much under 600 it is, and the "why" behind that sub 600 score. If you've got a poor history of paying your bills (especially recently within the last 12-24 months) then it's going to be really tough.

Speak with a local, reputable lender who can run through your scenario and tell you where you stand. I recommend Bank of America. That's who I work for (in Michigan though) and we have not instituted a minimum credit score requirement like many other lenders, however with a lower score like this be forewarned they're going to scrutinize your qualifications much more to arrive at a lending decision.

Best of luck!
