I am currently looking for rentals Columbia as well as my wife and I are retiring. I have submitted applications and have waited a week with no response. I have called and was told "well we need more information or need to verify your income". That is fine - I am retiring - .Or "well you are in Alaska, we don't know if we would have anything for you." We do not live in igloos and drive snowmobiles to work or dogsleds. My wife and I currently both have six figure incomes. Discrimination is rampant - seems only looking for young, professionals with children. Preferably in their own state.... more
MUNGO HOMES is the worst. Do not buy a MUNGO HOME. I have lived in Lakeport for two years in a brand new MUNGO HOME. It is literally falling apart. Light fixtures just fall off the wall. Until the bank takes possession at the foreclosure sale, the house still belongs to whoever owns it which means it's still that owner's house. It is entirely possible the bank or whoever buys the house at the foreclosure will have to go to court to get the owner legally evicted if they won't leave on their own.
There are also issues with home that are being rented. The lease often has to be honored up to a point and the tenants have to be given a certain amount of notice to vacate which the bank (or whoever buys the house at the auction) cannot do until they legally own the property.... more
