You can call the auctioneer that held the auction as well as you should search the registry of deeds and see if teh bank has purchased the house back at auction. If you do not know whether the house has gone to auction, if it is vacant. you should check on the door to see if it has been posted with an emergency contact to call. This is a great unknown. If its just the 1 mortgage then you wont have to wait very long. If there are multiple mortgages, liens, and other legal issues it will take much longer. Your best bet is to keep an eye on it and look for a realtors sign to pop up in the yard. Dont make this your only choice though. BoA could send it to auction or bulk sale and you may not even get a shot at it.... more
