As long as a repair is planned, and you're confident that any problems will be resolved with that, this shouldn't be a big issue. I think your best option is going to be doing everything in your power to make sure that you can be confident with the repair. Talking to some professionals and making sure that they vouch for it is a great way to do this. Once you can get these things figured out, things will be significantly easier to figure out.
