Yes on Trulia start by putting in city on the initial page, Andover is all 67002. Next click on MORE SEARCH OPTIONS in the bottom right corner of the green box, go to schools and enter Andover Central High School. As long as the agent has correctly entered the school on the listing you will be directed to those homes. I would be happy to set up a search that meets your critieria and update you as soon as new homes come on the market. Gerrie Koch Coldwell Banker Plaza Real Estate 316.285.0022... more
Absolutely there is a market for this kind of a home. People always want "a little bit of land" especially in that part of town. You have just enough to give them room to breath but still be affordable to many people. This is the perfect time to sell this type of home. People with families are looking to move during the summer months and get settled before school starts. I would be happy to look at your home and provide a market analysis comparing it to other properties available and recently sold to give you an estimate of selling price. You can contact me at 316-871-000 or firstname.lastname@example.org... more
If worrying helped, I say go for it. The truth is the lender can deny any loan right up to the last minute for any reason they want. They are looking for cash, collateral and an ongoing source of income. If you can demonstrate to them that your husband's income will not be affected by the closing, then you have nothing new to worry about. They can and often do order a VOE at closing just to ensure nothing changed from the time of application to closing. If the person who answers the phone says anything contrary to ongoing income, you could indeed have a problem.
If he got transferred, would you still want this house or could he be transferred a long distance away? If it's local, just across town then fine. If it's out of state or across the state, that's another matter.... more
Cassoday Country Store sells regular gas and diesel. They also provide a full lunch buffet five days a week and have cold sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc., all open hours. Store carries some livestock feed and normal convenience store items.
There is also a family "bar" in Matfield Green, about 8 miles away, that has great food and good times Tuesday thru Saturday and some Sundays for lunch and dinner.
The Matfield Green service area on I-35 is just four miles away on the turnpike. There is a McDonalds and a Circle K convenience store and gas station.

Not knowing which house is yours, it would be difficult to give a difinitive answer. In this market giving any type of difinitive answer is difficult but some things that I have noticed over the past few months is this. There definately are buyers out there. There are a lot of homes to choose from and yours has to stand out from the rest, whether it is from asthetics or price. The buyers are looking online first and if your house does not entice them to leave their couch and come look, they may never see it. Talk to your real estate professional, talk about staging and pictures that will show its greatest assets. It needs to look warm and welcoming. Staging is not about clearing everything out and making it look bland, it is about making it welcoming and warm.
Again, I know nothing of your home but I have also been finding that 2 bedrooms on the main floor or no bedrooms on the main floor is difficult. The price range you are in would be for new families possibly and they may not want to put a young child in the basement by themselves.
I did do a quick scan of homes in your zip code between $100,000 and $150,000. There are 14 of them. Two are still under construction and 1 is new. It is hard to compete with those so yours again has to stand out. Take a look at your yard. You may have something there that new builds don't. Make sure it is green and well kept.
You refer to your home as a starter home. Why is that? Is it small or is the price making it a starter home. In my market, $137,000 is not a starter. How are you priced compared to others your size? Check your competition, how are they priced? Your competition is not a house the same age or even sometimes the same size, price range may be your competition.
Maybe I have given you more answer than you wanted but ask these things of your agent and then be willing to make your home enticing. Good luck to you.... more
AVERAGE Buyer? In today's world Buyers are looking at homes long before they decide to work with an agent. They search on line, pop in at open houses and eventually get serious.
I've had Buyers write offers on the first outing then there are others who take much longer.
A better question is how long does a serious, ready, willing, able, educated on the market, and realistic about what they can get before writing an offer. For me 5 to 10 homes. Anything outside of that I find that they really want more house then they are willing to compromise on the price they sell for.... more
Honestly, it is not very promising if a Foreclsure is part of your credit history. Could be 3-7 years before you can purchase again. Since divorce is a hardship you may want to consult with your Local Bank or a Mortgage Broker. Best of Luck... more
