The Cape knows no bounds when it comes to age...... on the other hand July through August is a time when there is no such place as a "less crouded" area at the Cape. With this said, the best time to enjoy the offerings of the Cape are from Labor Day to Memorial Day....the balance of the time is alotted to the visitors.

Really depends on what's important to you. Both are great towns. Dennis of course has much better beaches if your a beach person. Both have great Golf courses. Amenities are very similar as far shopping goes only Yarmouth is little closer to Hyannis for larger choices of shopping and of course Cape Cod Hospital. Prices of homes might be a little cheaper in Yarmouth, but that also depends on the area your searching in and same for Dennis. So now that I have left you probably just as confused as you already were HA HA, I really need to know what it is that matters to you to be able to make a an educated opinion of which town I think might be the best fit for you. Feel free to call or email with your list of wants and needs and it will help me help you.
It seems like we are bouncing along the bottom. Some properties are selling for prices higher than I would expect, others are still being reduced to lower than what I'd expect before they go under agreement. One thing is for sure, you don't know you've hit the rock bottom until you've passed it. For buyers, the most important variable right now is the amazingly low interest rates. We don't know how long these rates will last. Experts seem to agree that there will not be significant appreciation in real estate until 2015 at the earliest. The converging factors of low interest rates, low prices, and high inventory make this a "perfect storm" for buyers. Right now is the best opportunity for buyers on Cape Cod. That's why my phone is ringing off the hook for showings this weekend! Sincerely, Amy Harbeck... more
The property is part of a cottage complex that was converted to condo ownership years ago. Each cottage has been going thru renovation. It is well located off exit 12 between the orleans line and Nickerson State Park.

I ran a search for you on all single families currently on-market in these towns. You should be able to tell which are walking distance to the beach based on the description.
Good luck in your search!
A resale simply means that the home is not new construction. In the current climate, it is also being used to differentiate a home that is being sold by people who have probably owned it for a few years from homes that are being sold as foreclosures or short sales.... more
