Kitchen renovations. Is there an estimate of what it costs per sq ft.?

Kent Turansky answered:
At $379/SqFt, this is priced much lower than other recent sales in the area. Can someone explain why?
Hello,

Appraisals are not based on square footage alone. Other factors that can come into play are the type of a lot, orientation, amenities, construction type, etc.

How can I find out the value of a home in Berkeley in 1989?
You could check similar homes in the area on a title company web site and look at the historical sales. You might find something that sold in 1989 and that would give you a good idea.
