There are a whole lot of people who have found a way to live in Florida and celebrate all this environment offers. One thing that is unwelcome and increasingly encroaching on what makes Florida special is those who want Florida to be like a New Jersey Mall.
If you have so many concerns, for your own peace of mind, don't come to Florida! There is no end to the natural things of Florida that will drive you nuts, but just common sense will remedy all of them, and we haven't event touched on 'shiny skin.'
Seriously, don't come to Florida.....unless you are willing to embrace and celebrate Florida just as it is. If one is unwilling to acclimate to the climate, area, culture, you are VOLUNTEERING to be self incarcerated in your home! Become a part of the place. This must be true whether talking about Florida, Colorado, Arizona or West Virginia. Be still and know the spirit of the place.
By the way, if you see a Florida bug, there will be a chemical readily available that will make it dead.
Now that brings up a new issue.... more
This answer is specific from well to well. I just closed on a place by Bennett. The water was"bad" according to Butch from Tri-County well and pump service. ( whom I would use again, very good).
Our well was 900 feet with the pump at 600 feet. we were pumping 25 gals per min.
He said it is hit and miss. Some wells have better water than others and the ones with "bad water" can be filtered and make good.
He said the wells are anywhere from 300 to 1000 feet in that area.
You just have to have any well tested.
