Congrats on starting your home search! I would be happy to discuss your home search and send you active homes in the areas of interest.
As far as getting to know different neighborhoods, I would recommend looking online at various websites, including philadelphia police department and such. This has been helpful for my clients in the past.
Again, please let me know if I can be of assistance with your home search.
Thank you and good luck!
Hello, H. Mendoza.
It is no longer a "grant" - you would have to pay it back over 10 years, but there is money available through PHFA. You can get up to 3% of the sale price or $4,000 - which ever is the lower amount.
Would you like some more info about this? You can use the money towards the down payment or the closing costs. I would be glad to assist you as I have a great deal of experience with this. Just reach out to me.

Trulia is a great resource for asking general questions and getting lots of answers. But for a specific question about a property, you'd be better off asking a Realtor in your area. Let me know if you need the name and number of someone...
I often takes Trulia a few days to pick up the feed (depends on where the listings data is coming from, the agent's web site, listing broker's web site, etc); as a listing agent myself, whenever I have a change to a listing, I manually notify Trulia of the change and they are very good at responding and making the change.... more
