Although they may subscribe to the vantage score models, most lenders still use the FICO scores to determine a borrower's creditworthiness. Even if you switched fields, it may still not matter. If you are salaried, and are making more, the field of work definitely does not matter. If you are paid hourly, a longer time frame would be needed on the new job, but a different field still may be ok depending on the structure of the hours. If you are commissoned than you will need to be in the same field and demonstrate that the pay will be at least similar to your past commissions which really takes time to show on the new job.
I'm available to help you at your convenience if you wish.
I can do a full underwriting approval ahead of time if need be and I also offer credit score improvement programs for free while we work on your mortgage. Everyone likes to raise their score!
