Each agent or company charges what they believe they need to do the job. Some will charge less and do less, but paying more isn't always getting more. When choosing an agent the commission is important, but more important is what they do for the money, how experienced they are and how successful they are. Speak to 3 or more local agents and see what they charge and what they do.
