can anyone recommend an article or anything in writing I can show my clients, that if their loan?

Asked by Phil R, California Tue Mar 10, 2009

modification is denied, the foreclosure clock doesn't re-set. There is a misconception that the foreclosure process will start over and over again as they apply for a loan modification. I need some written information on this, from a reputable source or preferable a state association or NAR.

I have something better. An actual letter from one of our most prolific foreclosure attorneys in the Louisville/Cincinnati area who I recently dealt with on a client's foreclosure and loan modification request. The letter from LS&R Attorneys specifically states that the foreclosure action will not stop until a loan modification, if any, has been granted from the lender. Send me your email address & I will send it to you as a .pdf attachment. As an aside, the client received the foreclosure civil summons action from the courthouse during the time frame they were seeking a loan modification. The lender eventually agreed to a fantastic modification for my client and the foreclosure action was dismissed this week. It can work out.
