Also, read the guidelines for any Realtor website that you join and.....actually follow them
Your reputation should be the the most important thing to you right now. Quality not Quantity!
As others stated, before getting your website out there make sure your efforts are not trashed but your website name. I believe you can put your name and the word Realtor but not realtor consultant. Check with NAR for what is acceptable.
You could start blogging and just making your presents know on every real estate site you know of. Of course answering questions here will also help. Keep your website current meaning go in and change something every couple of weeks. The lets google know that have an active page.
There are a lot of different strategies that work well. They either have an upfront cost (PPC, pay a SEO vendor...) or they are time consuming (Q&As on Trulia, Blogging...). Do you have a solid budget or do you have a lot of time to allocate to advertizing your site?
The best thing you can do is improve your "organic search results" with Google and others. Try to do well on terms that are localized for you. Of course, put your website on all your regular advertising. I would recommend a good local website company to help promote yourself. The majority of the national companies are scams. Check active rain before signing up with any company.
