Although Flowers and Candy sound wonderful but if MOM is busy helping get the home ready to sell, how about an hour consultation with a Home Staging Professional. We recently had a neighbor who is an interior decorator come over and give my wife and I some helpful design hints for our home and my wife LOVED every minute of it!

How about offering to do a job that mom really hates doing? The dishes for a week, a trip to the grocery store, paint a room that is looking bad, clean her car?

The best gift you could give is a visit.

Flowers may seem an uninspired gift, but I love getting flowers! Roses, daisies, carnations ...

Great post, Akil!

Akil, am sure you will come up with something. Just enjoy the time with Mom as unfortunately for many that cannot happen any longer(miss you Mom)

A card with flowers, candy, or jewlery seems so common.....getting outside the box is sometimes so difficult. I too am interested in what others are doing that would be considered "out of the ordinary."

Mother's Day is a wonderful day to show our mothers how much we love and appreciate them. I always try to think outside of the box, but lately I end up with the same gift. My mom lives a pretty stressful life, so I love giving her a gift to the spa. I don't know many women who would refuse a gift for a relaxing spa day. :) Best wishes in finding the prefect gift!

This is so true you can never replace those precious moments we all spend with all our mothers, wives, aunts etc. in our lives.

Ron,
