I'm appalled that there are so many agents willing to give free content to this website or any other website. I am even more appalled by the fact that they will pay a website in order to get leads from and promote their own listings. Listings that the agents provide to the website for free. I've been really annoyed ever since I saw another agent had "claimed" a high end listing of mine.

I just learned it's changing. But, I also just heard Trulia turned a profit, and Trulia needs to do that. I do hope we can see some added improvements to Trulia Pro that will increase it's value. There's some possibilities there that would help the agents, consumers and Trulia.

Hi All,

I wanted to chime in to clarify that prices on Trulia Pro plans are not changing for existing customers. For more details about the new plans and features offered, please access the link below.

Thanks for the compliment, Joan!

I am somewhat disappointed in trulia these days since I learned that they "relaxed" their position on spam. Agents are now allowed to have resume-sized signatures which, to me, can make us look like used car salesmen. Consumers don't like that.................. we have a hard enough time improving our image as it is.

But I digress...........clearly trulia, as with any business, is looking for more revenue.......since agents are their biggest source of revenue, they try to appease us (hence the newer lax spam guidelines) yet increase the pro plan ( I don't remember , but I think the older plans had a few more perks, too - wasn't there some kind of virtual tour offered on the higher priced plan?).

As I mentioned earlier, the only leads I got were a result of my activity as a voices member.

Trulia , last June, abruptly removed the agents ads (paid) Pros got, and replaced them with this "instant connection" or whatever they call it. Just like that, they switched gears with no warning or offer to allow those of us who signed on for a year in advance to KEEP what we had already paid for. That bothered me.

Trulia likes to make quick and frequent changes. Remember the revamping of the VIP point system which resulted in many members losing their VIP levels and points? (They were supposed to get back to us on that, but never did)...........sometimes I think they are all over the place, kind of like corporate ADHD......in the attempt to make more money - nothing inately wrong with that, but maybe in the way in which it is being done.

Hi George
I wasn't aware of any price increases until I saw your question. I just checked the plans & they appear to be the same from when I first subscribed so I hope they are not increased any higher. Hopefully they will realize that if the price stays affordable more agents will use it & if not they will lose valuable contributors like Debbie that make the site what it is.

I like Trulia because I learn from my fellow Realtors. It is a great forum.
I hope that Trulia is financially successful. It offers value for my clients.
Truthfully, the Pro thing is just another form a web marketing, and if it works for an agent, great.
I hope that they keep experimenting with new ideas. Somebody has to!

frankly I would pay a bit more to get them more organized. With all its faults this one is much better all around.

I am wondering if Trulia has considered a "pay per click" model in their research.

I think because of Trulia.com's low prices Trulia has flourished and has become a "go to " site for many agents and buyers/ sellers. I think it will have a negative impact on the growth of Trulia.com not a smart move on Trulia.com's part. For now I will stay but 2011 will be another year.

I continue to get calls from Trulia to upgrade to PRO. I am already getting leads from my interaction in the forums and Trulia Voices.

I was on the fence whether to go PRO -but other high profile agents here said they did not feel the price warranted the benefits.

With the increase in prices - I think I will continue to work with the leads I get from Trulia Voices.

Good Luck!

Debbie I think Trulia is great but was surprised that they changed their pricing matrix I think ythey will lose agents because of it. Joan the pricing is similar but you get less exposure for listings. Scott I idid get a call a couple of days ago but did not see anything in writing. I am hoping that they go back to the original pricing for Pro plan because I think that plan was more attractive, hopefully they'll change it back.

Hi George
I pre-paid for the Pro plan for 1 year, and it just expired Aug 31. I didn't realize, until you mentioned it, just how much the cost went up.

I decided to try what used to be the middle Pro plan, for a year (which I felt was a reasonable amount of time) along with being active in answering quesitons here, to see if I got more leads . I didn't find that to be the case, so I decided not to renew.
Whatever leads I received were a result of being visible, and responding to questions in the forums.

So tell me, George - since you're a Pro - what do you think of the price increase?
