Honestly,

I really feel Facebook just like other platforms have invaded people’s privacy and in fact made it difficult for users to figure out how to opt out. This is just my opinion, it is sad it has taken lawsuit for them to do something. Let’s face it, it does seem like common sense? It seems like the number one concern for these companies is to mine the data and make as much money off of it as possible.

As an agent you should be using a facebook business page and making that private would be like being a secret agent:) ex http://facebook.com/chooseahomenow

Rusty,

They are in the advertising business. They target the advertising based on who you are and what you "like". It is best to assume everything you post online is public.

Best of luck,

For me the jury is still out. I finally broke down and created a business page and of course, I want the world to see and "like" it!

I think the new policy is a great improvement even though I think we've all given up so much of our privacy already that it might not make any difference.

Thank You for posting.

These social media companies are private companies who must meet shareholder demands to make a profit. Whether we choose and how we choose to use their products is up to us.
