Real Estate Website Feedback

I have recently launched a real estate website for home buyers and Realtors in the Twin Cities, outer Minnesota, and western Wisconsin. The website is RealEstateOpens.com. The sites specialty is Opens, Non-Opens, and Developments for Single Family properties. Its goal is to organize and simplify the process for all Minnesota licensed Realtors and/or Brokers to market themselves to the Internet buyers.

* Agent Registration: http://www.realestateopens.com/register_agent.aspx

"Tag" the listing with your dates, time, photo, website, logo, headline, supplement, contact information and drive the business directly to the listing agent! Buyer inquires to RealEstateOpens.com from a “tagged listing” will always be directed to the participating listing agent without any referral fees!

The goal is to provide value to the agents and buyers, so I would appreciate and feedback that anyone has!

I agree with Aaron, what's the incentive when Opens are on lots and lots of websites, including my own?

Thanks, Todd

As a former member of SPAAR and a native midwesterner Ihave to agree with the other agents. No right thinking Norweigen Bachelor Farmer is going to change his ways just becaue there's an internet. They are going to continue to search for homes like they have always done and with the tools already available for free to the agents there is no need to spend extra money for what they get for free. Remember, the goal of the listing is to get it sold, not to develop leads. A strong sphere of influence will keep the leads coming.

Thank you both for your feedback! You're right, via MLS and broker reciprocity your listings are published all over the Internet. However, if you take a look at your listings on many of these sites you'll find that your contact information and your personal website are not listed. This is because many of the sites make their money by capturing buyer inquiries and turning them into referral fees. Tagged listings on RealEstateOpens.com will show agent's direct contact information (Website, Photo, Phone, etc) rather then trying to come between you and interested buyers. With more and more buyers doing their own shopping online, having direct links to your information can provide tremendous value. As for the price, it is currently incorrect on the learn more, we're working to fix that. We feel that with the new pricing, the features provided by the site, and local targeted marketing to drive buyers directly to you, that you'll find the site provides value. In fact, right now you can tag all your listings on the site for free. Give it a try and see what you think.

Why would any agents in the Twin Cities do this? Open Houses are advertised for free on 100's of broker sites via our MLS Homebase application

Your website looks nice and is pretty easy to navigate. I did notice that on your 'about us' page that the cost is quoted at $39 per listing but the 'learn more' page says that its $100. Personally I don't see why an agent would spend money for every listing to display an open house, especially when there are many free options available. Just my $0.02
