My wife and I finally found a home that we were interested in. After long negotiations an agreement was made

for all closing costs paid by seller, and 10K in repairs (that needed to be done). We had to get out of our rental by the first and an early possession was agreed upon so we moved in on the first. My realitor ordered the carpets to be replaced prior to us mov 1st(date of move) and it was done and looks great. We go to close last Friday, and get a phone call saying that sellers won't be ready until Monday. We say OK and received a phone call while driving to close saying that sellers couldn't afford to sit at closing table. So I waited while they tried to get a loan. Got a phone call today from my agent saying that selling agent asked that we remove most of the repairs from the contract, agents forfeight their commish. and we can close than. Remember...hardwood already replaced in house on "good faith" by my agent to installers. There is still much to be done in the home. Why should my agent lose her commish. she worked her butt off helping us. I'm in the military and she was forced to

Wow! sounds like a problem! Well the worst case, is you forfiet everything and find a different home. I think you need to be talking to an attorney about this one. Yes the agents can cut their comission, and it happens every day, but they shouldn't have signed the contract if they couldn't fulfill it! Talk with your attorney as soon as possible, maybe they can draw up some kind of formal agreement to pay it back or something.
