Moving to GA and mutual recognition between FL and GA

Asked by Rita, 32612 Thu Apr 17, 2008

I am currently licensed as a Sales Associate in FL and will be sitting for my FL Broker's License test in the very near future. My husband's company may be transferring him to the Atlanta area shortly after I would receive my broker's license. I am aware that GA and FL have a mutual recognition agreement. Am I required to be licensed in FL for a particular length of time as a Broker before I can apply and test for my GA Broker's License? Or is it enough that I have my Broker's License even if it's only for a few months. I appreciation any information that is provided. Thanks!

Hi Rita,

http://rules.sos.state.ga.us/docs/520/1/04.pdf

Read page two of this eleven page PDF from the GA Secretary of State. You'll find your answer there.
