iPads are definitely great for on the road, but I wouldn't do without my Mac. I actually purchased my second Mac at the beginning of the year, refurbished one directly from Apple and have been thrilled with all of the performance and applications. There is a slight learning curve if you are coming off of a PC, but once you go Mac, you'll never go back!

Maxime,

I concur the Mac Books are great if you can afford them. if you unable to make that type of monetary committment at this time. A nice and affordable alternative is HP Pavilion. you can get a 17 inch screen for $500. Speed is good and easy to use. Plus, this is a window product and can be used if you do BPOs.

I love the IPAD as well. It's pretty handy when you need it but as a back-up, I agree with the other comments as well and invest in a MAC...

I recommend the MacBook Pro - if you compare the 13" MacBook Pro to the 13" MacBook Air, you get more bang for your buck as far as features go - speed, graphics, storage, etc. Although the MacBook Air is more compact, for the same price you get more with the Pro. For me, a Mac is a carefree user experience because it is not as prone to viruses and other problems that I experienced in the past with PCs. If you are contemplating a MacBook, Apple has a great side by side comparison on their website. Good luck!

The Macbook air is great. It's small and compact and you can take it anywhere. Plus the battery life is long so you don't need to plug it in everywhere you go. Happy shopping.

I've been using an iPad for a couple years - it doesn't replace my laptop (even with the keyboard). It is much too reliant on Internet connectivity. I prefer working from my hard drive rather than using web-based applications, it's faster and more secure.

I have to agree the IPad is great when you are on the go. Just be sure you have another MAC whether laptop or desk top. I just got my first iMac early this year and it is great. The comment re"if you do a lot of typing" I just added an app "dragon Dictate" and just speak and my words appear on screen. Agree once you go MAC you will not go back and by the way the support is great whether phone or in the store.

I really love using my ipad for all of my real estate needs. I have all my contacts, emails, and internet access all in one location. If you type a lot, you can get a keyboard to use with it.
