It is not necessary to pay an upfront set up fee to establish an excellent provider of tenant screening and comprehensive renter background checks. Tenant Screening Background Check, online at http://tenantscreeningbackgroundcheck.com has no setup fees or annual fees. Also, get a free background check on the spouse or partner.

Landlords can simply order reports as needed without any cumbersome requirements to get started with screening their rental applicants and receive very quick results that provides very current and updated information about their rental applicant that includes a full credit report with a FICO score and thorough background information that covers all court records for judgments, evictions, foreclosures, tax liens, criminal history bankruptcy filings, etc. This data is updated within hours and provides landlords with an address history of all previous addresses and associated household members for each rental applicant.

Agreed. It is operated by TransUnion. I think this is the best service among three credit bureaus.

I use the National Tenant Network. A one time setup fee, then just pay for the service when you need them.

Hey there, I am the founder of Tenantify. We empower landlords to make informed decisions by verifying tenant's employment and income. Our headquarter is in Fort Worth (close to Dallas), but we offer a national service.

Tenantify is different from a traditional tenant screening service, as we focus on tenant's current financial situation and assess tenant's ability to make monthly rent payment.

Check us out at https://tenantify.com.

Make sure whoever you use is FCRA compliant. Alot of these cheap internet based ones are non compliant and don't have up to date information about people. Some of them are using databases that are 3-5+ years old!

Not to mention it is actually illegal to make housing decisions based on a non compliant service. This rule is in place to protect both tenants and landlords.

We recommend using myrentalhistoryreport.com but there are plenty of other FCRA complaint services out there!

Try MyScreeningReport.com. It is a great service for independent rental owners - no cost, no usage fees, no paperwork. You create your account (FREE) and invite your applicants to apply through MyScreeningReport.com. Applicants fill out their application and pay for the reports themselves then share with you through the secure sharing platform. Works great and reports are very comprehensive!

Reports include credit report + credit score, criminal and evictions searches (they even automatically check aliases). You can also receive rental & employment verifications which I feel are so important to the tenant screening process but can often be time consuming.

I recommend giving MyScreeningReport.com a try!

When conducting a tenant screening or background check, It is vital to receive data that comes nationwide sources. Private Eye Reports at http://tenantscreeningbackgroundcheck.com is a company that I highly recommend for finding all evictions, judgments, liens, foreclosures, bankruptcies, open collection accounts (credit history) and criminal history from every court in all 50 states. Additionally, they offer you the ability to see all past residences going back as far as 30+ years and the report includes all real estate transactions with details identifying the buyer and seller, lender, amount of transactions, etc.

I typically use http://www.atenantscreen.com/ . You can also do a lot of the check yourself. Call the landlords, call the employers, and use publicdata.com to verify most of the rest of the info.
