Market Leader / Vision

Here's my experience with Market Leader. I was called by a sales person, John Lockart who informed me ML was launching a new product called "just Listed Alliance" and were only offering it to top producers. He said it was the hottest lead generation system ever to hit the internet as they were going to advertise on all the major TV and radio stations which included, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, and the affiliate radio stations. His "pitch" was convincing of which I recorded. He promised that the ads were going to run prior to the launch the first of January 2010. Well to make a long story short, I signed a six month agreement with the understanding they were going to do massive TV and radio advertising. John Lockhart indicated although the agreement states they will guarantee me 17 leads a month, he assured me the numbers of leads were going to be huge and the quality was going to be better than any internet lead source on the market.

After a few months I called John as I hadn't heard or seen any TV or radio ads. He assured me they did but then said they were in different parts of the country. I told John "that does me no good" and "you sold this by giving me the impression they were doing ads that would be viewed here in Houston." When I asked for a list of TV and Radio stations with the date and times the ads ran, I was told they don't that information. Little does Mr. Lockhart know when you buy TV or radio spot they always give you an accounting for the dates and times it ran.

After six month of paying about $650 a month with no sale and very few leads, I told them to cancel and refund my money. They said they wouldn't has they had kept their end of the agreement as I got 17 leads per month. I told them I didn't get involved fro 17 leads a month, I got involved as they had promised they were doing a HUGE marketing campaign that never happened. They said I had to fill out the cancellation form, but here's the funny part. They had another sales person call me and try to sell me on another program they were starting up. When I told him all the lies they had told me, he confessed the program never took off like they anticipated and they didn't do any advertising on the TV and Radio.

The cancellation form they wanted me to sign was filled out by them and the reason I was cancelling was inaccurate. I put in the real reason and they would not sign off and still continued to draft on my account even after several demands to NOT draft on my account. I was cancelling because they deceived me. Even though I sent numerous emails saying "CANCEL THIS EFFECTIVE NOW!" and they still drafted my checking account. I was FORCED to sign a cancellation that was again was false so they could cover their butts.

I was looking into it and wondering the same thing. Currently I'm using Point2 Agent which is doing ok but I was told to look at websites who use the IDX software as a HUB to all social media.

I've been using this product for 4 years...with great success. The 'drag' is that the incubation period seems to average 14-17 months for our leads - BUT - the obvious benefit is that we are closing a LOT of business off the definitely well worth it! It produces results for us! My Vision site is posted below in case you want to look it over. :)

I posted 2 weeks ago and now can give a better answer. I wrote one offer directly from a Vision lead. I have written an additional offer on a prospect that I used Vision to bring back to life. I have been using this product for about 2 1/2 weeks and if these two sales close, will have generated $18,000 in commission. I have also generated a total of 38 leads (8 paid for, 30 generated from Craigslist and SEO). It is easy to generate leads from Craigslist posting tool. So far, I am very pleased and I expect at least 2 more sales from the other leads in the system.

I would take the chance.

I have just signed. In fact, I installed it yesterday. I have used it to post several craigslist ads and I have already received over 50 ihits resulting in 8 logged in leads that are searching for properties. I have not had them long enough to determine if these leads will result in true prospects, but initially, I am excited. The leads are local. Other purchased leads are coming from all over the country and have a huge "trash" rate.

To answer the HomeGain question below. I have had 5 HomeGain proposals. Not one has been opened by the customer. It seems to be a true waste.
