Is anyone else having problems with answering questions?

I have typed in an entire answer and hit the ANSWER button at the bottom of the page. Nothing happens. Is there currently a system problem or is it something else?

Thanks for testing this out Dunes. I'm glad that it's working for you again. I'm not sure why it wasn't before either as this fix was put in place yesterday morning. I suppose we'll have to chalk it up to inexplicable computer behavior.

Hey Dunes,

Our engineers tell me that you may have a bad cached javascript file. Can you try clearing your cache in IE and see if you can answer after you do so?

Hi Hugo,

This bug would have prevented your answer from being posted completely so I wouldn't wait for it to appear. I'd go back to the question and re-post it. Once you do it should appear right away.

Thanks for the question. It looks like a bug was introduced into our system when our site was updated yesterday. It prevented IE users from being able to post answers. We apologize for the error and are happy to report that it has been fixed.

Guess it's working now, but still don't understand why it didn't work last night or two hours age since the java files were cleared by me then also. Oh well, as long as it works...Thanks for the help, it is a great relief to be able to return to pretending I have any idea what I'm talking about....

Here goes, I have 7 & 8, both did not work the last couple days. Am doing this with 7 right now and I cleared everything each day and today. (twice now). See if it works this time.....

I still had problems last night and this morning with explorer, I been using Firefox and it seems to work fine.

As a matter of fact I posted an answer yesterday and it hasn't yet posted. Possibly a system error.
