I would like to ask for the assistance of agents in the Duncanville area to give me some guidance on selling
my parents home of 30 years. We have updated it in the last year, and as recently as this past weekend. The house has been vacant for some time. I am concerned the days on market are causing it to be overlooked. My siblings and I are the ones doing the updating to the house. My parents are retired and on a fixed income. Ideas for getting this home sold? I am throwing all sorts of internet marketing at it, and the showings are just a trickle. I appreciate any insight. I work the North Dallas area, so their home is outside my normal market. MLS# is 10770123. Thank you!

Hi Ronda,
Here's my feedback. Get rid of the range pricing... too many agents don't know what it is and don't want to have to deal with it. 461 DOM is a long time. Take out the desk out of the master, it already is a small room, it shows very narrow and too crowded. You may want to retake the picture of the pool.. it shows all pool and no yard although you have a separate pic of yard. what is the room that is 15 x 5 ??? odd shape? Lastly, I think you are still priced way above for the updating needed to be done. Countertops and cabinets are original, paneling, etc... offer closing costs to buyers... Take it off the market and relist it with a new price. Get rid of the private remarks about the pricing. Good luck, Naima Thu Aug 7 2008, 02:28
