Jay Carleton, Real Estate Pro in Monroeville, PA

I saw an older home yesterday and the three bedrooms on the upper level were connected with no hall in between.

Does this affect the bedroom count?

I think it does. My understanding - and there seems to be a number of different answers to what makes a bedroom a bedroom - is that to be a bedroom the room has to have a window and it's own access. So if you have to go through one room to get to the other one of them can't be a bedroom.

unfortunately.. did you check the public records?
if the public records show that there are 3 br, it is what it is.
The other day I've seen house that was called '4br', but it was a true 2br with other rooms converted( to ask for more money). I think, it is very unprofessional for a realtor rely on the homeowner words and not to check title.
