Julie Butler…, Real Estate Pro in Virginia Beach, VA

I'm seeing activity pick up quite a bit. Is it a sign that consumer confidence is finally improving? www.JBYourPersonalRealtor.com

Negative news tends to keep people on the fence, Have you ever sat on a fence? The american Dream is still alive, Rates are low, Deals are out there and people are tired of sitting on the fence.

Still seeing half the number of new listings selling each month. 80 or so new listings per day, with 40 being sold. That means in increase in inventory, far from absorbing the current inventory. Sales need to pick up, but I don't see it happening. Lots of showings, too many choices.

You better be priced well, and awesome inside if you want to sell fast in this market.

The biggest change is just expect longer days on market. You don't have to lower the price every week, you just need a longer expectation of when it's going to sell.
