On top of what the others said, you need to determine an exit strategy from the start. Are you building a brand or a just using your good name? Are you are generalist or working in a niche? Storefront, ofice based or mobile work force? Web site purpose and design is key. So much to consider.

Don't rush the process.

Started my own last year. So, if you want to talk, let me know.

Good morning Dan:

Scott had some solid advice for you regarding business plans, and developing a professional support team.

Be highly selective in bringing on agents. Recruit agents that are client focused, good people themselves, agents that are committed to continuous improvement, agents that are highly ethical, self motivated, and agents that understand and abide by real estate, laws, rules and regulations.

Good luck Dan.

Seek out some mentoring/coaching to assist you in keeping motivated & focused on target. Hire a real estate attorney to review your business plan, review your errors & ommission policy and the types of forms and disclosures needed and custom tailored to your operational style.

Hope that helps,
