Hi Jaks. There are some very good schools in the area. I would recommend Bob Hogue School of Real Estate. They have classes throughout the Tampa Bay Area and I believe you can also take the class online. The web site is http://www.bobhogue-school.com/ Good luck to you and let me know if you need any local support. We are always hiring quality agents, so get in touch if you are interested.

I agree with Phil. Take your state exam ASAP! You'll have a much higher chance of passing the first time.

Hello Jaks,

http://www.bobhogue-school.com as mentioned previously is a great resource with classes in St. Pete.
They even have pre-exam classes on weekends to help you. Here is a BIG Tip!! Make sure, you schedule your exam at the end of your class, so what you learned is fresh in your mind.

Don't rush the exam either, take the full 3 hours. Have plenty of cash to get you started in this business. Just because you have plenty of contacts, doesn't mean they will all buy and close.

This is the perfect time to get into the business! You will have the time to learn how to do business the right way in a challenging market. You will need financial resources to pay your bills until your deals start to close.

We are seeing increased activity form Europe and Canada so your contacts may be a gold mine. I am with an office on Clearwater Beach. I would be glad to talk with you further. We have several agents from the UK who can share their experiences as well.

I went to the Bob Hogue School and found it worthwhile.

Hello Jaks,

The only advice I can give to you on the class exam, watch the wording very carefully.
The same with the state exam.
After you pass the state exam you will have to put your license with a broker for at least a year before you can take the Real Estate Brokers exam.

If I can be any help, feel free to contact me. 001-863-450-6449
If you need a contact in the Disney area, I am here.
I have added my brokers site below.

Hi Jaks
Welcome to the wonderful world of Real Estate. As an ex-pat the easiest way is to use the internet to find your local Real Estate Schools and then check with a couple of the well established Realty companies who they reccommend. This way you will know who they are talking about and which one to choose.
Good Luck. Paul Whitehouse (Realtor)
