You should be shopping for an iPhone!

Sandra,

I have an iPhone, iPad and iMac…love them all! I would highly recommend going with the iPhone. There are a lot more apps available.

Have fun shopping!

I too am a Verizon customer. I just upgraded my blackberry for the HTC Thunderbolt. It's an Android phone which is Google based. I absolutely love it.

Sandra - I 'm with At&t and I have an Iphone. My first smartphone was a Palm treo 650 then I went to a blackberry and hated it. I love my Iphone and it is far superior to any other phone I have ever used.

Tom & Joanne, Unfortunately where we live our carrier choice is pretty limited. Most of the major carriers except for Verizon & Cellular One (a local company) do not have good coverage in our area. I have talked to a number of people who come here from the Phoenix area and while they can make phone calls they can't get their voice mail because there are no towers close. I am limping along with old one for the time being. I just have to make a decision. There are some good choices out there, just don't want to spend money on something I am not happy with.

Sandra:

Change carriers and get an iphone. Best phone on the market. You can use the video for your you tube videos and it is so good.

I use Blackberry. I would recommend the Blackberry Tour although rumor has it that Verizon may be getting the Iphone soon. I'm considering making the switch to Iphone although Blackberry the Blackberry OS 6 should be coming out this year with features very similar to the Iphone.

I'm very happy with my Blackberry Tour. I'm used to a real keypad, so haven't switched to anything with a touch screen. I have a Verizon family plan and prefer to stick with Verizon. The Tour was considered the best for business, though there's a replacement of it now; not sure of the name. I know the rollerball is now a square little thing.

I'm starting to have my doubts about Android. (I did so because I'm on Verizon and wanted to stay there.) I just got one, and it's definitely not living up to the hype or my expectations.

On the other hand, I moved up from a Palm Centro and, even though I've been told that the new Palms are better--that was a real dog. The web browser was virtually unusable. The keyboard was a joke. The software was old and clunky. So I don't know what the answer is.

Unfortunately where we live the only services that are reliable are Verizon & Cellular One. Everything else has very spotty coverage. I looked at a Blackberry and it looked cumbersome and wasn't comfortable in my hand. Too wide. I looked at the Droid but not sure I would like a touch screen. A friend just got a new LG with a text pad and that wasn't bad except she has had a lot of problems with the phone itself. I'm so confused............

Hi Sandra,
I had been on Verizon for years and had an old cell phone for 4 years (just hated to upgrade every year). We switched to AT&T and went with the Iphone, G3 (not the pricey G4). I was worried about coverage and performance, so far just as good as Verizon but much, much less. For example I have data plan for only $15 a month, where on Verizon it was going to cost me $40. We were shocked, more features, so far same service, for $50 less a month on AT&T family plan. Having the Iphone after using an old cell is amzaing. I can get email while I am out of the office, on the road and etc. We can pull up a listing right there in the truck on the road while showing houses. I will never go back. If you have to stay on Verizon I have been hearing good things about the new Driod X, and Incredibale. I also have heard for over a year the Iphone is coming to Verizon, and would see if it is really true, I heard this Sept but I have heard that rumer for years now. Good luck, the Iphone made my life so much easier and I know it sounds cheesy, but made it better as well.

If you want to stay with Verizon, consider the Android smart phones. I don't currently have one, but I have heard some great things about them. I'm considering upgrading.

A lot of agents like Blackberry, but my wife had one and didn't have very good luck with it so I have stayed away. She had to return the phone twice before she got one that worked properly.
