Hi Kelly,

I went through the online classes that they offered at North Lake College. It took me 9 months to complete. This option allowed me to take all my courses online and also go to the college and speak to my professor when I needed to or had questions. For my continuing education classes, I go through My husband is also taking his online courses through TrainAgents. Not sure about now, but they were having a really good deal on their courses.

Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions.

Keller Williams in Arlington will be hosting a Career Night Tuesday July 23rd beginning at 6pm. It will be held at the office location inside the Chase building at 1301 S Bowen Rd Ste 125, Arlington, TX.

This is a great opportunity to meet and discuss Realtor career process, what to expect, education requirements, obstacles, markets, etc. with top agents from the Keller Williams Arlington Family.

Please RSVP at the number listed below and I will ensure you are included on the list. I highly recommend this opportunity if you are interested. It will really give you the "low down" to what Real Estate Agents are all about.

You can do some online or all online or a combination.
I would suggest if you can to at least take one in person.

I've taken at Northlake College, Kaplan, and Champions and thought all were good.

You also now have Texas Realtor University from TAR, I would expect those are good.

Feel free to call me any time with questions. When you get ready to take your test, we'd like to meet with you to let you show how our agents are getting productive in their 1st 90 days and doing deals.
We also have a list of interview questions for you to ask brokers. You can look at that now to give you some insights into the business.

Kaplan is a great resource and if you call me I can tell you how to get a 30% discount on their classes. Century 21 Judge Fite has negotiated a rate with them to help people with their real estate education. Feel free to contact me at

I agree with Mack and suggest you take the first course online, but consider doing a prep course in a class setting to get ready for the test. I've always used Kaplan for online.

Champions school of real estate and Kaplan real estate school are two good choices for online classes. Make sure you take the test prep in person though.

Please call local Real Estate offices and ask for the office manager. They have much experience in this area and can help.
Many of the Realtors here use a local Real Estate School with an on line training site... Makes it a great option for both on site training as well.

Why would you want to do that, Kelly? Real estate is a people business, and I think there's no better way to get pre-licensing education with live people and instructors!
