I am a new agent and was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to selling in Marco Island vs Naples areas.

I know Marco Island but feel that Naples will offer more prospects. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There are a lot of differences and price points as well. It all depends on who you want to market and if you are working with buyers or sellers. Do you have a marketing plan and cash set aside to attack a market, what are your goals?

You need to sit down with a few experienced agents and put together a pros and cons on area and buyers or sellers. That along with budget will point you in the right direction.

Scott, Thank you for your reply. I am in the process of putting together a business plan and yes I do have reserves set aside to cover cost and expenses for about 6 months. After reading your post I think I will interview with brokers in both areas to see what would work best for me. I know Marco and live here but with a wider market in Naples I am more drawn to it.
Thank you again.

Why limit yourself to one area? Work them both! Go where the sales take you!

Hi,
I am the Broker/Owner of a medium sized office on Marco Island. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss the different markets, and they are different! There are plenty of opportunities to work in both markets. You do not have to limit yourself to one or the other.

It really depends on the type of sales you are looking to do. If you want to be in a new construction, gated gold community then you would need to go to Naples. Otherwise, you may not have to choose.

I would be happy to sit down with you to chat, no pressure to join my office.
