How to get your Trulia VIP badges.?

Asked by David Rudd, San Diego, CA Sun Mar 16, 2014

Hi all! Anyone finding it difficult in keeping their Trulia VIP badge status. Just seems like a lot of us just 'post to post'. Trulia's end users are not really using this portion of the site very much. Maybe Trulia should consider driving more traffic to the Q&A section of their site?

They need to drive away the scammers and drop the stupid codes required that prevent scamming - which it obviously does not.

This was a very helpful question, I have finally figured out how to earn my VIP status! Thank you David... I have found that checking in while I'm around town is the easiest way to earn my points. At least now I know what I'm working towards.

David,
go to your "My Voices Actiity" to review the actions that are most beneficial.

Next create the environment from which you will benefit the most.

Reward collaborating behavior.

What Truia 'should' consider will prove an exercise in futility.

I'll third the blogging recommendation in addition to answering questions. For me it's less for the purposes of keeping my Trulia badge and more for gaining web presence (I post in several different places), but it does the job regardless!

Keeping the VIP designation doesn't seem as difficult, for most people, as achieving it in the first place.

Once achieved, it only take 20 pts, (or answering 5 questions - within 30 days) to maintain Level 1................40 pts for level 2............. and 70 pts for level 3.
Not to mention the other ways of adding points in order to maintain your level.....check your Voices Activity list for other ideas

I check the site a couple times a day and try to provide answers that actually have some value. That keeps you with a badge.

Haven't achieved it yet, but I thought it was earned forever once I made it, dang it. But this is what I've been doing, "check-in", add a listed property, answer posts, and log in. I have been lazy about getting the referrals, seemed too "salesman" to me.

The best way I to stay active on the site. Answer and even post questions as much as you can.

Place a sheriff badge under your pillow when you go to bed tonight and when you wake up in the morning you will have a Trulia badge.

If you are concerned about keeping up with the requirements, visit Agent2Agent more often, there is usually a good number of interesting-fun questions you'd probably be driven to participate in. Personally, I don't have time for much blogging, I sign-in every day when I find a break, visit Q&A in my immediate areas (I do not answer questions in other states), encounter the same problem you are having, then, I find the solution on Agent2Agent. Thank you for posting this question!

If you aren't happy with the Q&A section then try blogging--it is a great way to add points to keep you VIP status.

Some post-to-post. Others question-to-question.
So whatever floats your badge.....................
