You are in FL, the answer you got is from CA and I'm in NYC. As you know, individual states have different regulations. You are posting in NY, so I assume you want to move your license to NY, though you say "from one company to another" rather than "from one state to another." I suggest you find the broker you want to affiliated with, make sure they want you, work out the details, and then have the NY brokerage handle the arrangements with the state. Big companies have people who handle the details.

I would contact your local board of Realtors and ask them. Each state, board, and company has different procedures.

Jenet's got the better advise. One thing though, I would wonder if Florida and New York allow for a transfer of license. If so, great. If not, you might have to go through training again to get licensed in the new state. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck.

Call the DRE and make sure they let go of you as part of their office . Also you will have to change a lot of important details , call the MLS and make sure they have your information changed too. If you are using CAR zip forms, that also need to be updated.Give me thumbs up if this is useful to you!
